We left the house!!

It's been a while since we were out and about, but today we returned to our Wednesday Play class. It was fun for the kids to see their friends, and learn about shoes! I'm always amazed at how much more independent they have become with their art projects! The snow is still falling!

For my warm weather family

Here are some pictues of our beautiful snow, especially for those of you who live with palm trees :) Unfortunatly, it's too cold to play outside today, but it is amazing to look at. God is Good.

Indoor Fun!

Temps were in the teens today so we had to make our own indoor fun. Tom led a bouncy ball race in the basement! The winner received 'trophy' (aka purple alligator?). Lots of giggles!

Are you kidding....

UPDATE:
At 10:15pm Tom and I were in the bathroom removing nailpolish from our screaming daughters fingers. Apparently they were trying to sleep without touching anything, and were not able to suck their thumbs (which might be ok since they are almost 4, except for the SCREAMING!). It was funny in a crazy kid kind of way. Whew! Never a dull moment.

Firsts....

Sophie's bright pink nails Abby's soft pink nails

Big day today, besides our first cases of pink eye (Abby and now Noah) (YUCK!), I painted the girls fingernails! Being the 'girly girl' that I am some might think I would have done this sooner, but I didn't want them to look too old too fast. They sure look cute 'letting them dry' though! Truth is, they are getting old, fast. Tomorrow I go visit two preschools for next year. Where does time go? Treasure every moment of whatever stage you are in!

The things they say...

This afternoon during "nap time" I played a game of memory with Noah (while his sisters slept). He did great, remembering and making matches. At one point he looked at me with all seriousness and said "You know mom, we could just turn them all over, then we could see where the matches are." :)

Tonight at dinner I told Abby to "cut it out" she responded simply, "I can't mom, I don't have a knife". Hmmmm :)

I love my kids :)

Go Tigers!

We took the kids to see a few of the Detriot Tigers who visited Hope College today. It was fun to think about baseball as the snow fell outside! We did have some tears from Noah when he figured out that "Maggs" wasn't there (we knew he wouldn't be), but overall, we had a great time! Go Tigers

The kids are dog sitting for our friend's Dog "Cooper" and their goldfish "Fish" this week. They are enjoying having the animals around!

A "spring" walk

Temps are in the 60's in Holland today! We enjoyed a windy, muddy, and warm walk with our friends Elle and Harrison. We know there is plenty more winter to come, but it sure was fun to enjoy today!

Big Day!

This morning the kids started 'Sunday School' at church. Some may not believe this, but it is the first class/activity that they have attended without me. Needless to say I shed a few tears, but the kids did not! They did great. The teacher said they were great, but ONLY wanted to sit together. That brings a tear to my eye too. I'm so happy that they have each other!

Our New Year's Eve Party (out of order!)

What a fun night!!

New Year's Snow!

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve with friends last night. The kids partied strong until after 11 when we packed them up and drove around the corner home. Needless to say, we all slept in today! It's been snowing here for several days, so we went on a 'snow hike' this afternoon. It was windy, cold, and snowy but we had a blast! It's a beautiful way to begin 2008. Happy New Year!
